crawford cast plenum polished w/350Z engine cover

does anyone have crawford plenum in polished??? before i buy, i just want some feed back... is it true that most of crawford plenum has a vacuum leak problems??? one last thing, i also have a 350Z carbon fiber engine cover, would it fit with this plenum... if you guys have any pix's, lets check it out...thkz

no the 350z engine cover will NOT fit you will have to cut it to fit the plenum. And they did have leak problems when they first came out with the cast version, but since then they have fixed it.

yea i was fortunate to find a cf engine cover that was precut to fit..but cutting it shouldn't be that hard. good luck and post some pics when u do it!

um not really, as u can see i kinda zoomed in lol... but thanks. Keeping the engine bay clean is such a pain in the ***! Eventually I just let it be..

um i believe 550 is retail price no? www.crawfordzcar.com you might be able to find a used one cheaper...

spacer is not hard at all.. its basically the same as changing the plenum.. just a couple of bolts

Not sure if you realize this, but the Plenum and the Plenum Spacer are different things...

The plenum is the shiny metal you see in the pic above
The plenum spacer is something you install beneath that.

I thought it over, and I'm just gonna polised my stock plenum.... I found a shop who does metal polishing and its going to cost me only $80. So I came back home and started to take off my plenum with the support of Crawfords manual.... You know what, it was very easy. Its going to take 3-4 days to finish, so wish me luck, and I'll post some pixs when Im done...

cool. If you only wanted it for looks than obviously its not worth it but the performance gains are nice if u ever do decide to go that route.

this just came to my mine, when i put back my plenum... what torque wrench setting should i use???? hmmm....
