Alternatives to Crawford Plenum?

Anyone know what's out there besides the Crawford? I am sure it works great, but I am looking for something a little more astheticaly pleasing. Anything on LSDunique's?

Re: Alternatives to Crawford Plenum?

The only alternatives that I know of are the Crawford Bling Plenum and the Espirt spacer. The Bling is a highly polished version of Crawford's standard plenum, and there are no seams. It is very expensive. The Espirt is a thicker Gasket that raises up the entire plenum top. I uderstand the motor mounts must be lowered to use it. It also raises the whole plenum, so it doesn't equalize the air flow to the front and rear cylinders as the Crawford does. I have the Crawford, don't mind the looks (I use the engine cover). I love the performance.

Re: Alternatives to Crawford Plenum?

The Crawford makes the engine louder for sure, the top piece that they add on is thinner that stock so the sound gets out more. It has some a gurgle sound to it ... I have come to notice it less and less. Definatelly makes the car sound meaner.

AS soon as my house quits falling apart i'm getting it...decsion has been made - then maybe the TS upgrade since more air means higher RPM's are possible. Time to run with the coupes baby.

Re: Alternatives to Crawford Plenum?

The spacer from Bulletproof looks interesting. I'd be willing try it... if the cost was about half the asking price!

Differentially porting the lower collector (plenum) might be the way to go. Has anyone looked into that concept?

Re: Alternatives to Crawford Plenum?

That Bulletproof that you show is actually the Espirt spacer that I spoke about earlier. They must have renamed it for this market. Same thing though.
