Anyone with crawford do warranty work yet?

Was just wondering what the dealer would say about the engine mods. I plan on getting a crawford, fujibubo ypipe, and their exhuast. Was wondering what they would do about it?

Also anyone replace their clutch and/or flywheel? I want to get the jwt flywheel and clutch but i dont want it to void my whole trannys warranty. If anyone can comfirm any of this it would be great

Re: Anyone with crawford do warranty work yet?

Here's what happened when I got my tranny replaced under warranty. It is a cut and paste from a previous post.

"My dealer had full knowledge of my crawford while they were evaluating my car for a new transmission. Which I got in short order. I know they knew about the pleneum cause I quizzed the service adviser on it. (Keep in mind I showed up with the factory plastic engine cover on). Here's what the service advisor said. "Yeah I saw the welds on the side of the pleneum and I knew something fancy was on the car, but frankly as clean as the install was and the whole car for that matter, we've got nothing to worry about, it doesn't concern us". Next I said, "thanks for not giving me a hard time, I was prepaired to take the car and one of your service people to dyno the car in front of you to prove I'm not pulling more power than a coupe does" He looked at me and said, "I think your pulling more power than the coupe is". To which I replied, "no I don't think it's doing that much." Add in my plainly visible Injen intake to all this as well. "

Hope that helps you.

with all the complaints on the 6mt tranny, I wouldn't touch it right now. Just in case they do realize there is something wrong and put a fix out for it. Then again, maybe you can't go wrong with a new clutch and flywheel.

I asked if they would void the warranty if I changed out the transmission fluid. The rep didn't give me a yes or no, but recommended against it becaues the tranny is still breaking in till about 15k.

I guess some people are going through trannies. I'm one of the lucky ones. Warranty is why I went Nitrous instead of FI. Much easier to take off for warranty work.

What, my car modded? Not me. LOL

I just had my tranny replaced under warranty and I have the Crawford Plenum, Injen CAI, Borla Exhaust & grounding kit. No questions asked. Of course, I bought from Grubbs Infiniti and those guys are pure class. They understand that my transmission problem (the 3rd gear grind that I had with my six speed) had nothing to do with any of my mods.
