K&N stock replacement air filter $43.00!!
I now offer the stock replacement filter for the G35 part number 33-2031-2 Retail is $60.38, I offer it for $43.00

For some of you newbie's out there that have no experience with K&N filters...let me give a biased opinion. I have run them in everything I have owned from sportbikes (GSXR 750's and R1's) to my bigger vehicles (Toyota 4-runner and Tundra) to my baby (Honda S2000). I cannot recommend a product that gives you better bang for the buck. In my 4-runner alone, I averaged 2-3 more miles to the gallon with a modest (estimated 5) hp gain. The first thing I do when I get a new vehicle is get a K&N...hell, they last forever too (with cleaning, of course). Just my 2 cents worth

I definitely agree. I have it on both of my cars.
For those who don't want to fork out the $43, you may want to check with those Maxima owners and see if they have a used one for you. Maxima uses the same filter. I am saving my "used" one for the new car.

I took a look at my air box and, for some reason, it seems really difficult to open it up and take the old filter out. Anyone else have the same experience? Anyone have any input? Thanks in advance.

Go to the K&N website and check for the part number. They are essentially the same.
Let's put it this way. Nissan is getting better and better at cost cutting. It will not create more hassle for itself by having multiple sizes of air filter for the same engine series.
