another Injen CAI question
another Injen CAI question
ok, I know this is most likely somewhere on the board, but a question and an observation for you: some people are saying remove the foam block in the bumper when installing the Injen, others are saying leave it and cut it. If cut to accomodate the air filter, it still does not have a pathway to allow air to the filter. Am I missing something? Do you cut the block in half? Any help will be appreciated.
Also, I noticed no whistle from mine at 4k rpm+, so I musta got a quiet one! =0)

Re: another Injen CAI question
Yes you are missing something. Their is a hole created for air to come in and it's more than big enough to pressurize that wheel well. Remember, your drawing air from the frontal zone of the car a high pressure area. Here's a pic.

Frankly, I'd buy the stillen intake and a Z tube before I'd intall a CAI that would be placed directly in the path of wind blown rain as Injen instructions would have you do. I don't think so. I had a better idea and applied it.

Re: another Injen CAI question
excellent, so just chop off the side piece of the foam and leave the "brace pice" (for lack of a better term).
Thanks!
