Will Engine Cover Fit After Plenum Install ?

For those of you who have installed the 5/8" plenum spacer. Were you able to retain the factory G35 engine cover? Mainly, the Skunk2 plenum in particular.

No, you cannot reuse the engine cover with the Skunk2 spacer.

You can't go above 5/16" to keep the cover. It may fit with a 1/2" but many have reported rubbing.

no one is "hating on the Skunk2 spacer"

And no, the G35 engine cover will not fit a 5/8" spacer.

You can probably get a modified 350Z cover to fit though.

You might want to read through this thread before you continue your really silly support of the Skunk 2. You don't need to end every post with "Skunk 2 FTW!"

We get that you like it, just don't agree with you.

Skunk 2 FTMFGDL!!!!!!!

are you phucking kidding me????? Remove the grommets and drill holes through nickles to use as washers? That post had to be a joke!

You should really stop posting for Skunk2 - you are a horrible rep for them.

That method of using the cover is the most absurd thing I've seven seen.

I've never understood why people are concerned with running a cover with a spacer anyway... the idea of a spacer is performance - if you care about performance you're going to remove the cover anyway. Why add plenum volume to get air to the front runners if you are going to trap engine heat under the cover to heat the plenum?
