Cold Air Intake - Miami.... thoughts?

I just isntalled my K&N CAI....down to the bumper, it sounds amazing - the car sounds like its spooling a turbo throughout the RPM band, with my HKS exhaust....so imagine that. Im curious to know how many people have ACTUALLY hydrolocked due to their CAI, because im thinking of leaving it as a short ram. Another idea was to get a bypass valve, but how good do those things actually work, has anyone really known that cause of it they didnt hydrolock? i guess im looking for testimonial's more than just word of mouth...cause thats mostly what i found via search.

Miami, its sunny most of the time, but then again you could find yourself in a damn t-storm during nsummer driving 50 on the highway.... and since i have a greddy front, my filter is bassically catching all that wind/water from the small vent. Any thoughts?

edit: i also noticed that my idle speed was fluctuating - but the ECU picked up on that, and the car runs perfect.....being CAI and all i expected it to turn off while going highway speeds - so far ive gone 90 and put it into neutral, and cruised for a good while down to 60ish, didnt turn off - idle didnt even move much. guess thats a plus.
