^ Lots of people have the injen Cold Air Intake, heard good things about them decent power gains and nice growl sound and looks nice to under the hood all polished up

i suggest not getting a Cold Air Intake if you live where it rains heavily, just had a friend of mine Hydrolock his motor (No Bypass Valve) because he went through a shallow puddle when it was raining

I have a Z-Tube/JWT Pop Charger and i have to say im very happy with it and the sound is awesome its a mean growl at 3k+ RPMs also very minimal if any power difference in the CAI and Z-Tube/Pop Charger

i cant justify spending $300 for a CAI sound with no gains and always running the chance of hydrolocking or steering failure with ATs.

If you want GREAT sound and performance for the same money you'd spend on a lame CAI sound... Forget the CAI. Buy a stillen Z-tube, K&N filter, and spacer or plenum

ztube $60
K&N $50
spacer ($230-$240 if you buy mine )
plenum ($190 if you buy this guys Kickass Kinetix https://g35driver.com/forums/archived-sales/134505-fs-kinetix-plenum.html )

so for $300 you can get his kinetix, a ztube, and a K&N filter
or for $340-$350 you can get my spacer, ztube, and a K&N filter

MUCH better buys than some stupid CAI

agreed..best combo right there if you are worried about hydrolocking. Just remember replacing an engine ain't cheap.

a lot of your friends probably have them because they give their cars a significant power increase. it is not the same with our Gs.

You're better off buying an EBay intake and slapping an Injen sticker on it. Exactly the same thing for a helll of a lot cheaper

Did Zxert say we can gain power by just reseting the ecu. is that true?

just check the sellers feedback. if they have good feedback you should be good to go. you do get the occassional JA MF who will try to rip you off, but just be careful of wording in the auctions. if you're unsure than create a thread or send me a pm and I'll take a look at it. I'm used to dealing with EBay and know how do deal with the lowlifes and scum on their and how to look out for them now... well most of them. you will run into a postal seller eventually, but use PayPal and be safe

Yes the occassional ecu reset is very helpful to performance

Injen is great, i have had it for along time now. No complaints at all i live in florida as well where it rains alot and i havnt hydrolocked yet (knock on wood), but if you are conserned about this just buy an AEM bypass valve for the CAI and you will be fine. Here is an acceleration clip of my G most of it is thesound of the intake.

I just installed the injen cai and mrev2-- sounds amazing but its a little iffy when I start to hit 6400+ rpms. (I rarely get that high rpm wise, but I noticed it when I did it once)

Nismo G, do you by chance no what im talking about? the sound is veryyy high pitched, sounding like something is almost loose when I get that high in rpms

its either my mrev2 or inejn cai. Im almost positive its my mrev2

none the less, the injen sounds amazing cause I drove it when just the injen was installed and its very nice. I wish I had hit high rpms when It was just the injen cai though..
