test pipes vs. HFC

ok so i heard some sound clips of an HKS exhaust with resonated test pipes and also with HFC and they dont sound to much different...may b im wrong but is there a big difference in sound??

depends on what cats you get...and which resonated test pipes...

i dont know but for example lets say kinetix hfc and fast intention tp's

wat about sound wise...i heard alot of thing but when i listened to them both it kinda sounded similar

U don't get alot more HP with test pipes... A few people on the forums have dyno'd the two and the test pipes gained 1 more hp than the HFcats... I really dont think that is worth it... And when u run test pipes ur CEL light comes on... I've gone through Kinetix's HF, test pipes, and then to Random tech HF cats... I like my hf cats ...

unless you track your car, test pipes arent necessary imo.

high flow cats wont rasp whereas some test pipes will.

the stillen race pipes i have don't cause cel, not sure why they're different. Be prepared though, with the lack of back pressure you actually lose a bit of torque w/o cats

no, the stillen pipes you have dont cause cel because you have an 03.....

Thats pretty crazy that ur cel light didn't go off... Mine did when i had test pipes...

And u can totally feel the loss in tq... Especially at lower RPM's... I was tempted to put my stock cats on... But i ran it at the track and broke into the high 13's with the HF cats... So i kept them on...

thats why you get HFCs...

btw, he didnt throw a cel cause he has an 03....

yet another + for the 03
so . . . if i decided to get hfc's, crawford, kinetix, who's do i buy, really want the best i can get regardless of budget (somewhat)
