i don't understand why people are obesessed with the little things that don't really matter. i guess it's for bragging rights?

i don't know the difference between the hks and injen weights, but i do know that the hks system is not that much lighter than the stock system at all.

you'd be better off by going on a diet or to the gym to lose those pounds.

the difference in weight between the hks and injen will not be noticeable. now, if you were to ask about the amuse exhaust - that'd be a different story...hold that thing and then the stock exhaust will feel like a ton.

anyway, sean, rick, or kurtis can chime in on the weight of the hks exhaust.

sorry, just my two cents.

The reason for this is because im getting my system installed and im trying to get back to normal weight... little weight deductions add up every 200 pounds is a car length in a quarter mile... now i know that talking about this and putting a system in sounds stupid but like i said every little thing counts.

My friends stripped down Integra RS stock (non vtec) hangs with me he runs 14.3s quarter miles. Thats pretty darn amaizing he got the car for 1200 bucks and the interior was all ****ty so we stripped it.

I plan on doing alot of work on my car but im taking baby steps this way i can let the car break in between mods, weight reduction doesnt need breaking in so therefore less time to mod in my case.

P.S. Im already on a diet lol salads and subway diet lol

i appreciate your info Hero

Keep things in perspective. He drives a stripped Integra. You drive a nice G. Not apples to apples. If you want a fast car at the strip, sell your G. These are not drag cars by any stretch....

Now, to shed a few lbs on race day without fing up your car, take out the spare and jack, and consider some lightweight race rims and tires. It'll cost you, but will let you keep your G in nice form for the 99.99% of the time that you won't care about weight.

Not accusing you of this, but I've seen many a car where the driver (a 300 lb overweight teenager) is concerned about weight but has ricer guages and fire extinguisher in the cabin, and (2) 12" subs in the trunk, and then wonders why he can't do better than 17.2 in the 1/4!!!

HAha no im not no 300 pounder and im def. not a ricer. i weight about 180 trying to get down to my norm 160 i just work too much. I wasnt comparing integras to G's i was justifying weight reduction. By no means am i going to strip my G... its my baby i cried when i got curb rash on my oem 19's lol.

Ill probably end up going with the amuse as soon as i get the money. I am (like is said) very patient and want nothing but the best at whatever cost it takes.

if trying to determine performance, why not compare gains in hp instead? i wish we had a sticky thread with all the stats for each exhaust: configuration, weight, hp gain, and noise levels.

it's hard to measure gains in hp since all our cars will react differently to mods - even if it is the same mod.

We should have a thread with all the exhausts available for the G35 coupe and sedan with sounds clips or video clips, weight, and hp gain. thats what we really need to have. Or at least just the sound clips
