Headers and Exhaust DB levels

When I had crawford headers & cats and an injen ses (which imo is louder than the greddy) the car was obviously loud, but tolerable even at 80 MPH (3k in 6th). Not saying that it would "blend" into traffic, people will still hear you coming/go by and youll have to turn the stereo up to about 14-16 to over power the exhaust. Heads/cams/test pipes I can turn my stereo to 20-23 and I still cant hear ****. The drone gives me headaches on long trips to be honest.

UTube or others on EVO2 clips. IMO I would try to hear
1 in person if possible. So much gets lost in sound bites

Headers typically will only bump you up a notch on DB's?
The term decibel is extremely precise:
A 3 dB increase is a doubling of acoustic energy and is the threshold of perceptibility. The average person will not be able to distinguish a 3 dB difference in sound level in a laboratory condition.
A 10 dB increase is a tenfold increase in acoustic energy but is perceived as a doubling in loudness to the average person. The average person will judge a 10 dB change in sound level to be twice or half as loud.
Why police use fairly accurate SPL meters before they confiscate and tow the vehicle subjecting you to extreme financial pain.

You can expect the overall noise at WOT to increase by at least 100%. At part throttle, the volume with be about 50%. At a steady cruise with minimal throttle imput, the difference will be minimal; however, under and load (ie going up a hill, passing, slight grade) the exhaust volume will probably be 50 to 70% louder. 6MT cars will reduce some of the volume affect.
I had just a Borla TD on my G35 sedan and the exhaust volume was easily 100% louder. It was so bad and annoying that I had to sell the system.

1) The drone wasn't so bad
2) Vibration wasn't so bad (vibration caused because of the lack of flex sections)
3) If the motor was a V8 and had that beautiful smooth sound only a V8 can make.
