injen short-ram causing "whistling" sound?

just bought an '03 6mt coupe and the previous owner had installed a short-ram injen intake...from what i've read on here, i gather this causes the "whistling" sound i hear when accelerating ...just wanted to make sure there's nothing else it could be that is actually a problem with the car..i'm a total noob when it comes to this forum and the Z/G35 cars...i appreciate the help

side question- do any other 6mt owners with the brembo brakes experience any "brake noise" ?

the whistling is definetly not a bad thing... enjoy it. as for the brembos, brake noise is normal with higher quality braking systems... you can really hear the pads biting into the rotors, squeeking is what you want to look out for.
