How was I the one when he came in here? Look at Nismo's posts as well? Trey I am not the one that has the problem. I am just backing up Nismo's posts. DaveB like I said has a history here of bad mouthing mods.

This has to be the 2nd most retarded thing i have ever read..do you even know the difference between the non rev up VQ and the new VQHR? Obviously all the advancements that they have made have made a huge change in power:

Redline increase to 7500rpm

Increased height of cylinder blocks

The compression has been increased from 10.3:1-to 10.6:1. The power has gone up to 306 hp SAE. The engine's redline has been increased to 7500 rpm.

Redesigned block for increased rigidity.

New cylinder heads

Larger valve diameters

Stronger valve springs

Iridium spark plugs

Crankshaft is much stronger

It actually has a dual exhaust setup....

I wonder why its faster???? than the last VQ motor???? Those are just a few of the changes from the old VQ and the new VQ.

Oh so you've read some of your posts in this thread, that's good.

My point is, there is little room for improvement, its a 3.5L V6 producing over 300hp with out any FI. I find it so funny your arguing about a car you don't own and have never taken a close look at, ie taken things apart looked a little deeper then one can simply by popping the hood or at a dealership.

sooooo..... is it worth it or not? i've had CAI on all my cars but thats usually after i've seen alot of test results. IMO we really cant tell till a couple of companies come out with it. all this tech talk means nothing without hard facts and evidence that it makes gains or it doesn't make gains. just my 2 cents!

Like i have said in the last 4 post or so we will see when someone actually comes out with a CAI who is right and who is wrong. as far as popping the hood at the dealership i havnt even done that and im sure i know more about the engine than you do. Also, since you im sure have a bone stock 07 what have you done besides pop the hood?

Comparing a few published numbers for the 1/4 with Sean's times is wacky IMO. Sean pulled a 2.0 sixty foot. The sedan with a 2.0 sixty will run a 13.6, in decent conditions.

Don't the sedans and coupes have diff gearing too? I dont know.

Nismo. Given the already questionable CAI gain on the single TB G35s, their tendency to make the car stall, and the fact that the VQ35HR ALREADY hast dual CAIS, I'm not sure how companies plan to improve this.

And Russ. Honestly. Are YOU actually trying to say Dave B makes trouble on sites like maxima.org??? Dude. I cannot FATHOM how you can even ATTEMPT to even imply something like this.

Trouble?? Did Dave B ever get BANNED from maxima.org?? Did YOU? Answer that and THINK about what you are posting. Your 1/2 truths and slander campaigns are seriously getting tiring. No one is buying into it.

I don't think Trey wanted to call you out or anything ...

He was just trying to tell others that your 2.0 60' is more the exception than the norm and ppl should be careful when comparing numbers without considering this.

Its a 2.075 60" to be exact...not 2.0 flat, anything could have happend..wind could have picked up and been against me..track could be inclinded even the smallest incline will effect it..i believe it was 68 degrees outside as well.

EDIT: i think its the gearing as well sense im shifting into 4th extremely close to the 1/4 mile mark there is the long delay in shift that is probably the biggest factor. i need a valve body
