I see that there is a rubber tubing that connects the metal pipes(blue or black color) now if you replace that with a 3" AEM bypass would that work? For me my concern is hydrolock and for $45 more you can order a separate AEM bypass valve, do you guys think this is worth it?

If you are worried about hydrolock then yes it is worth it. $45 bucks is pennies for peace of mind. I put the AeM bypass on mine and it fits perfectly. You need the 3" diameter bypass from AeM. I will take pix as soon as I get my camera on X-mas
