Thumbs up Which Exhaust is better??

I know alot of you have changed your exhaust out. And I would appriciate your oppinions.

I am looking at the hks and the stillen dual cat back exhausts. I'm not sure wich one to get. i have an 05 with some minor mods on it and will keep adding. I like the HKS but wonder if anyone has had any peoblems with it. If you think the stillen one is better than please let me know why. Also any other ideas are welcome.

Thanks for the Help!!!

Really you can do anything you would like. Even look at 350z exhausts. Whatever sound you like the best is the one you should get. i absolutely love the sound of nismo, so i got nismo from a z and put the exhaust spacer on it. oh and i would really suggest titek test pipes.

Pepsi or Coke?

You're going to get many, many opinions.

Honestly, the best thing you could do is just research exhausts, and hear them in person.

I decided to go for Stillen because it suits me best; I'll give you my impressions of the exhaust if you want, when I get it ordered and installed.

...none of these exhausts should void warrant if installed properly.

however, all aftermarket exhausts have the potential to void warranty...

oh ok, cuz on their website they stated that it's the only exhaust on the market that does not void the infiniti warranty, not sure if that's 100% true tho.

which exhaust (without having to get headers etc..) is the most extreme sounding one? lets face it gains from an exhaust are not too promising, so might as well pick cuz of the sound. so which one is the craziest one?

depends what you mean by extreme.

rsr is a ypipe back, but the loudest exhaust, imo.

injen track edition is damn loud and mean, but the drone is terrible.

fast intentions isnt very loud, but mean.

hks is loud, exotic (imo), and mean.

Fast Intentions is the best, hands down...in my opinion at least.

HKS is too ricey sounding and Injen Track Edition is too loud and droney

Since everyone is throwing out their favorite exhaust...

Stillen FTW!

Can't go wrong with FI or HKS though...

From I understand that the 2 best exhausts out there are the HKS dual Ti if you are going to stay N/A and the Fast Intentions if you are going to go F/I. I like the Fast Intentions because it sounds great and looks close enough to stock where you probably won't get hassled by the police. On the other hand it is basically a custom Sebring exhaust. However, they do have the dyno charts to prove their performance. The HKS...what can I say...that thing looks SICK! LOL But as nice as it looks I think it advertises "look at me" a little too much. But if I had to choose it would probably be from those 2 exhaust system.

As far as warranties go, I think that as long as the aftermarket part is not the cause of your problem or failure, you should be fine. Usually non-moving aftermarket parts do not void warranties (ie. intake, exhaust, STB, etc.) However, I have seen the service rep check out my suspension to make sure that I didn't have any coilovers. Was it because I am Asian? Hmmmm..... J/K

Hope my 2 cents helped.

HKS is one of the most popular exhaust people have because soooo many people love it. Stillen makes good parts as well though. I have heard there is a minor defect with one of the pipes, and it has broken on a couple of people, however HKS does offer a 4 year warrantee on their exhaust so I wouldn't worry about it. I would suggest you look on youtube and streetfire for sound clips and decide which one you prefer. Good luck!!!

p.s. don't listen to these Fast Intentions fanboys lol.

I love my HKS set-up. However, I got the HKS only after having heard a number of other exhaust set-ups, in person. Everyone will have their own opinion(s) . . . And as such, as I have mentioned before, you will be better served if you have an opportunity to listen to the different exhaust systems via local meets and the like.

Good luck to you during your selection process. I trust that you will be pleased with whatever exhaust set-up you finally decide upon. Enjoy!
