Coupe Middy!

I just bought an '06 coupe middy!!! (brand new for only $100.00!!!) My car is getting a 30k service done now, so maybe I can install it tonight. To all those who did it themselves.... Will I have enough room with only jackstands? Where's the best position to set the jackstands?
Thanks, Cole

You should have enough room with jackstands...it'll be tight (laterally), but it should work. Do you have ramps? When I did my install of my middy & y-pipe, I jacked up my rear & rested the car on ramps for safety (more work area that way). Good luck!

I get so upset when I read these posts about doing exhaust work at home.
Up here in Toronto there is so much salt that you'd almost always have to cut and weld, because of the rust! You guys are so lucky!

...I just wanted to say that for a while

Well I tried to do it myself in my garage....So glad I quit early and headed out to Marco Muffler. My 14mm socket wasn't deep enough to wrench the nuts off, and there is a drive-shaft support in the way. For $60.00 I had Marco use a lift, take the old midpipe off in about 2 minutes, heat and bend the driveshaft support. I'll get a pic up in a lil bit.

I got the midpipe from Sac. Infiniti. Brand new, off an 06 they had put an exhaust system on.

It deepens the sound of the exhaust note a little bit. Sounds more like an 05-06. I can't wait to get a new muffler to really notice a difference!

I'd really like a Fujitsubo, but those only come as a whole cat-back setup. So I suppose I'll go with the HKS.
