That is SUCH a loaded question. The sound is very subjective because it all depends on what you like. I would suggest trying to search for some clips of the different options and decide from there.

Guys, don't beat up on him too bad - there is really no reason to.

Well, Cheryl... glad to see you upgraded & also went 6MT..!! Big thumbs up for U...!!! Well, too bad your 1st gen sedan wasn't a 6mt... I was gonna ask you what your thoughts were on a comparison. But anyway, what do you think?? Have you been able to open it up yet..?? How you like the 306 ponies..??? You're right... it all depends on what you like... but honestly... overall... I think the Stillen has the best sound... not to quiet... not too loud. No drone. Almost stock @ idle & even throttle. But.... when you step on it... WOW.... sounds perfect!! 1st hand knowledge herer

We got an auto the first time because we got an awesome deal on the car. I would have rather had a manual but thus is life sometimes.

There are a ton of differences between the auto and manual from the 1st gen and then there is another whole list of differences between the 1st gen manual and the new manual. I'm not sure exactly what I think just yet. I haven't opened it up yet since it has less than 30 miles on it thus far. It won't be too much longer though.
