They're two completely different mods that complement each other VERY well. That's why its used as a combination very often.
True, the stillen airbox will not give you any gains, but you are worse off with a CAI (long ram). Long ram CAI tend to lose low end power, and will not yield any significant power up top. Point is, don't get an intake if your only concern is power.
And no, the MREV2 is considered a product for the rev-up engine, although it can be used with a non rev-up.

The 1/2" spacer will make a little less TQ but it will make a little more HP at the top end.
If you do road course or drag racing, get the 1/2" spacer. Otherwise, its best to get the 5/16".
