installed stillen intake now car won't start properly
as suggested above, I would put the original parts back on and see if the problem persists. This will eliminate the probability of something being damaged, and show for sure that the new intake is causing the problem.

there is a whistling sound but from what i read thats the intake. could it be a air leak then? i made sure everything was tight.

ok, i had gdup35sedan check out my problem. lucky for me he was down the street from my work. he took the intake out and reinstalled it, disconnected the battery and started the car. but just like before the car spuddered and died. gdup then checked out the battery and said it could be the battery.
so again guru's: any thoughts? second opinions?
if this doesn't work, i'm putting the stock intake back on.
thanks to gdup35sedan for the help and all the others with the advice.

I hope you get this figured out... Like gdup35sedan said, try a new battery. If that doesn't work, put the stock intake back in. If that still doesn't work, leave the stock intake in there and take it to the dealer - there's one in Kearney Mesa and another in Escondido. You should be covered under warranty.

good news folks: car starts normal.
did what gdup said and change the battery. did the overnight ecu reset and it worked. so hope this info is helpful to others who might have the same problem.
thanks gurus'
