Question Injen Probelm

Today I took out my old setup which was the pop-charger with the chrome z-tube and put in my new Injen CAI w/MR technology. The Injen box said it was for an 03 - 04 coupe atuomatic #SP1993. I researched around the boards and found that it didnt matter and it would be fine with my 6-speed.

I installed everything correctly, dissconnected the the negative terminal on my battery for 5min and then re-connected it. Took it for a drive and felt some hesitation when I would get on it say in 3rd gear, almost as if something is restricting it. I would feel it sometimes though, never had this problem with pop-charger. Now is this because the computer is learning the whole system of the car or did I install something wrong or missed something? I did the short-ram setup, not the full CAI. I also did not remove the snorkel piece underneath, behind the bumper which required the bumper to be taken off. Could that piece be restricting air? Again as I said, its only sometimes. I got on the highway and got on my car hard on all gears, it seemed fine then. I dunno, maybe the car computer is learning the system

Drive it a little more and see if the problem comes back. You can do a real ECU reset to speed up the process. Either do the petal process or take off the negative terminal over night.

you can always go through the wheel well to get to the filter...also with a cold air setup it takes more distance for the motor to draw the air...leaving the snorkel piece would not restrict it, did you connect the vacuum line to the intake pipe?

Vaccum hoses and etc are all on. I only took out the negative cable for 5 min. If I reset the ECU, im afraid i might lose all my contact on my navi address book. Heres my intake though, nothing visibly wrong..

I really dont want to reset the ECU as the process looks sorta tedious. I will drive the car again tomorrow to see if there is still hesitation. If so then tomorrw night I will leave the car with the batter disconnected overnight

acceleration going to higher RPMS, almost like a sudden loss in smoothness of the acceleration at like 4 - 5K RPM..I'll see again if it happens

Well upon driving it around today, and driving it sorta hard, the problem is gone. There is no hesitation, everything is normal. What I was feeling was prolly the computer re-learning the car and etc.
