FI HFC or catback

I've done some searching but can't find a solid answer. I want a FI exhaust, so should i wait until i can get the catback system and then save for the HFC's? or do the HFC's alone make a big enough difference to get them by themselves and get the catback system in the future. I know the catback system gives good power and sounds amazing, what kind of power could I expect from just the HFC's and do they change the stock sound much? I would be purchasing the 300's.

I also plan on getting the jwt pop charger/ztube, should i do that before any exhaust work? I'm assuming the exhaust will make a larger difference after the intake has been changed, but are the gains better with HFC's and stock intake than the gains produced by the jwt intake and stock exhaust?

thanks

just do intake, spacer, headers, and hfc and call it a day. you will be very pleased with the mix of down low tq and top end power.

haha i plan on it, but i have to do it separately as the money comes in. so i was wondering which pieces produce the best gains by themselves so I can put those on first

get the catback first. it's more satisfying, imo.

I would do the exhaust first for the sound. Then do the spacer followed by the other stuff.

Get FI's catback first and save your money from the intake and get the Cats!!! I did this with the JWT and got 15 pony power more. BTW since you like the FI's sound, save some money for gas!!!

Just like Mr. RI said - with an additional note:

when you know your exhaust plan is to do a pretty complete system, but have to budget and time it out, always start from the trunk and move yourself to the engine.

So, Catback, then HFC's and then headers. The reason is that the catback will have it's own sound characteristics. As you add other components, that sound will change. So your best starting with the catback and get used to that, and then if you want more sound, but not too much, go with the 400 Cell ceramic HFC's. If you know you want more than a 'little sound increase", then go for the 300 Cell Metallics.

If you want and can do it all at once, then try to listen to someone else's if you available, so you know what your getting before you purchase.

Also - if your overall plan is to go FI - then you'll want the 300 cell Metallics anyways for longevity.

thanks for the responses. I plan to go FI within the next year, so i'll be going with the 300's. but for now I'll wait a few weeks and then get the catback, and then not worry about the intake until I go FI.
