quietest aftermarket exhaust for SEDAN

Hey,
Im wanting to get a new exhaust for my 05 sedan (completely stock). I am basically looking for the quietest aftermarket exhaust for the sedan...i dont want to be waking up neighbors as i come home at 3am in the morning. Please dont tell me to stick with my stock exhaust either... lol.

I only care about the sound, i do not care about gaining in performance.

Also, does anyone have the Blitz Nur Spec exhaust for the sedan? I see it on everythingg35.com but i dont see anyone ever using it.

i say go with the midpipe for now if you want something quiet and if you want something a lil deeper get an hks muffler after that. It's a great combo!

Since you have an 05, adding a coupe midpipe really won't do much...so I'd save the money and energy putting one on. In fact, it may add some drone...

Try Tanabe Medallion Touring. I have Tanabe Meadallion Hyper, which is VERY quiet when cruising at any speed-from legal to illegal , and Touring is supposed to be quiter.
Clip with sound:

Notice that sound of wind through all open windows is about the same loudness as exhaust at near redline.

I say you go with a Borla I just put one on my car and now Im thinkg about getting rid of it. Its deeper at low RPMS but at high its about like stock. I think I wanna go with the HKS rear becasue I want something thats deep but not total unbareable. If you want to try to work something out let me know.

The Fujitsubo exhaust would be the quietest exhaust for the sedan ... even more so than the Borla (less drone too).

Yes it is indeed. There's also quite a bit of drone.

Not the greatest buy too since it's only a mid-pipe back muffler upgrade.

This is going to sound crazy, but if you don't care about gains and don't want a ton of noise, source out a used 03/04 sedan muffler. You'll also have to use the 03/04 hanger. The sound and the volume is sweet. It's atleast 20% deeper and louder than the OEM 05/06 muffler. The 05/06 mufflers are longer therefore they muffle quite a bit of noise compared to using the short 03/04 muffler. I plan on making some videos on my 03 sedan with a 05/06 sedan midpipe this weekend. I had a coupe midpipe for a short while, but the sound wasn't quite right. The 05/06 sedan midpipe made all the difference. It's very E46 M3 in sound.

i have a friends 04 muffler sitting in my garage and it is significantly smaller than my 05.

however, i believe that the 04 muffler has that dual chamber thing where only one tip opens up on partial throttle where is the 05 is open all the time
