just wanted to get some opinions/recommendations on what i was thinking of getting, whether its a good choice or bad w/ better reco for my car in signature :

1. motordyne 1/2" iso thermal spacer $320 direct from manuf.

2. GReddy SP2 dual tip exhaust $515 new from ebay

id like to stay in the price range.. or even cheaper of course if quality is equal or not far under it

thanks!

i think some vendors sell MD spacers for cheaper than MR themselves. you can't really go wrong with either the 5/16" or 1/2" spacers. just depends where you want the power to be.

the greddy sp2 is just an axle back - meaning it's just a muffler basically. it'll sound different, but it won't perform any better. if that's all you want, is sound, then go for it.

where i want the power to be... umm.. what is the difference? (im more of a casual driver not highrpm racer)

i was looking at the x02 one of the sponsors had going in the marketplace here... looks nice and a review of it on my350z looks quite promising.. only 595 shipped, so maybe ill shell out a bit more for that! i can deal with less rumbly sound, but if im going to drop 600 on an exhaust, i think i want some performance

then stick with the 5/16" iso thermal spacer.

replica hks exhaust. ugh. i've wasted too much time on this exhaust. not worth it.

i meant it's not worth my time. there are a few people here with that exhaust and are very happy with it. if that's what you want, then by all means..you should get it. it's your car, afterall!

but you can see the difference quality of the burnt tips..

fake hks:

real hks:

yes, the lighting is different. the but difference in tips is still obvious.

i'd advise saving up for something better, though.

stillen, fast intentions, hks - all great choices.

hmm.. very good point... what about performance-wise? i wish i could say i want to save up for a 1k+ exhaust.. but i have so many wanted upgrades, exhaust not being so high up... id sacrifice look for sound & performance, but still wish to keep around $500 range

thanks a ton for all the tips thus far
