Re: cat back exhaust

A "cat back exhaust" just means that the connection is made starting from the rear of the catalytic converter all the way back including replacing the muffler.
You won't know if it is worth the money unless you test each system that is available for your car. Each one will either give you more power in different parts of the RPM or no power and more than likely be louder. Just remember there is no free cake, louder may also mean no more power and resonation in the cabin that will drive you crazy on the highway, you may even lose power for all your troubles and money.

Re: cat back exhaust

My understanding is that if you do nothing else to the engine, changing the exhaust isn't going to do much for you. However, if you're adding a supercharger or turbocharger to the engine, the exhaust can make a noteable difference on top of that.

I greyed early myself. It is important where you spend your money these days, want to get the best bang for the buck. Which explains why we all love our "Gs".

Re: cat back exhaust

does anyone not like how the stock exhaust on a G35coupe sounds?

I fallowed my car and was listening to the exhaust sound. sounds like something from the Jetsons or the car is pushing air out of a straw.
