You hear it from the engine bay during acceleration.

There is a water trick some people have tried on dual pipe exhausts. I have done this on my car.

You basically want to artificially age the sound deadening material. As a muffler gets older, it slowly loses this material to normal wear and tear so by spraying in water and then running the engine hard and repeating this procedure over and over, you are accelerating the wear of the sound deadening packing.

Here is what I did:
Step 1: Run the car hard at high RPMs for a few minutes once you've reached proper oil temp.
Step 2: Go to the water supply [house or carwash] and shoot water at high pressure into each exhaust pipe until you see water coming out of the opposite pipe.
Step 3: Get back into your car and run it hard as hell at high RPMs. You will be better off running under a load to create enough pressure to blow out the exhaust muffling material.
Step 4: Come back and do it again. You wont need to shoot the water in each pipe for more than 30 seconds to a minute…

Concept:
Step 1: Running the car hard : heats up and expands the exhaust material.
Step 2: Shooting water into exhaust : Water soaks the expanded material and cools it causing it to shrink and clump[kinda].
Step 3: Running the car hard again under a load: high pressures in the exhaust system blow out the material.
Step 4: Repeat: The more you do it the more you can blow out.

All this does is wear out the exhaust much quicker than possible by driving.

PERFORM THIS PROCEDURE AT YOUR OWN RISK

did you get good response from this? is it increase in exhaust sound noticible??

I kinda don't like the idea of shooting water into the exhaust... but if you've done it... and is recommending it to others... i guess it doen't have any harmful effects...

I did not do this on a G35 so I don't know how this car would react...plus I don't know how this exhaust system is arranged specifically.

I am not recommending it, just describing a process and concept I used.
