It makes the exhaust louder and a much bigger howl. Injen short ram style I believe is the best way to go, no chance of hydrolocking, sounds very sweet, and looks the best.

It looks like after the help i got here which was great, i will go with the Injen short ram intake, it rains about a week a month here and winters can be bad too so i think it would be best to go short ram. The other option im still thinking about is going with the K&N filter and a ztube, but im not sure that will give me too much sound??? or as much as the short ram.

do this: buy a k&n drop in. swap it with your stock air filter. install a ztube. remove power duct from front portion of air box. there you go. done. if you dont like that you'll only be out 40 bucks, since you'll use the ztube for any other intake install. do this first, then see if you want something more aggressive. i think the pop charger sucks, due to the lack of heat protection. i just swapped out my pop charger with my stock intake w/k &n drop in, and it pulls harder, there is more torque, sounds about the same (except with that whistle noise), and the car accelerates a lot smoother. im just gonna say this: i could never break my tires lose from a stop, now i can get them to break lose in first AND second. (im a 5 AT)

All short ram intakes have insufficient heat protection, except maybe less with stillen box. So don't hate on the JWT pop.
It does utilize the air ram intakes, just not completely enclosed like Stillen or OEM.
I have it and it adds a nice balanced growl to my exhaust.
I have no problem breaking loose in first or second and scratch in third with my JWT pop and with 285/30/20's
If heat is a concern, go with a CAI.
In response to oiled filters earlier from other post:
The most common mistake with oiled filters is over oiling the filter and not letting it dry completely before using.
That's a guarantee for problems with your MAF etc. JWT btw tells you how much oil to use so not to use to much or to little.
No problems with my oiled filter for over 20K miles on my G as well as all my oiled filters on dirt bikes/ATV's and oiled KN filters in my other vehicles

Diablo, do you have pics of your air intake. I have been debating this for a while and was going to go with the Stillen, but for cost and power it seems you have a very efficient intake. I don't quite understand what you mean by remove the power duct though, so some pictures would help. Did you cover over it or remove the box completely or...?

no stock or in your case semi-stock 5AT can break its tires loose on a shift into second. Just thought you should know.
first of all im not lying bout breaking my tires loose in second. so there goes your facts. and second the power duct is that piece of plastic thats located on the front part of the air box...it says "Power Duct" lol. just look at the main air box and you'll see it. just pop it off by pressing down on the two pins with your key and it will come off. just hold on to it though..dont think you wanna lose it. i have experience with both intakes, and while i love my jwt, the stock w/k and n just provides and MUCH better drive and my car accelerates a lot quicker...i will however be reinstalling the popcharger during the winter when the temp drops. i live in way south texas so its on avg. 98 degrees here every day.
just to add one more thing...if you are willing to spend the money than by all means go with stillen. best of both worlds IMO. but if you're strapped for cash just mod the stock air box. and hey, if you dont like the stock modded air box you can always upgrade and you'll only be out maybe 50 bucks.
