do whatever you feel. i mean, its only an exhaust, right? megan, stillen, hks, whatever sounds good to you. I mean, its not like your buying it for performance right? bc if you were, that wouldn't be the wisest thing to spend your money on.

yeah, it looks the same, sounds almost the same. why not? do it.

I'm no expert but from what I have found the stuff they make for the G is good. If I were N/A I would be willing to try that out. Too bad they don't make a dual 3"

What up- 1st post...just got 3"megan racing cat back (muffler and mid) on 03 ob 6mt sedan. s-techs 20" tsw kyalami hb. clean install; one hanger relocated on muffler. Looks/sounds great. Almost too lound for my taste at certain rpms. Anyone else? I have no intake or other mods. What will tone it down? injen (or other) CAI is on xmas list and 5/16 spacer. Will I be getting louder? looking for deeper quieter sound less bark (its a sedan) but HP!! Not saying its not fun now but i think the sedan deserves a little quiter note. Two friends described it as lamboish or 430. Any thoughts? Thanks

I've got the MR CB on my 03 Maxima and it is just a _little_ loud, but has a nice low rumble to it. Quality seems top notch and for $380 I couldn't beat it. I've had it for 5-6 months now.

Same VQ35, I imagine it would sound similar.

That's a nice looking exhaust. I'd probably get one if it doesn't drone. It looks like stainless steel, has a coupe-like midpipe, and you can probably get it for a lot less than the MSRP. I hate drone though, so that would be the deal breaker for me. I had a Greddy exhaust before and didn't like its drone.

The CAI and MD spacer will probably make your car louder at wide open throttle. It won't make the car quieter by any means.

The plenum spacer will give you the best and most noticable power gains of the three mods you have mentioned. The CAI and exhaust may add 7 - 10 hp. You will learn by reading the posts on this forum that it's not easy or cheap to get much more power out of these engines.

BTW, since you are in Tampa, check out the Florida G35 Club. We have an active group in Tampa. https://g35driver.com/forums/florida-g-club-68/

Very nice, start a new thread with the wald pics, I would like to see them.

What are you asking about with the "Please any suggestions on less aggressive sound would be appreciated" question?

Im trying to determine what impact next round of "budget performance" upgrades ie..plenum spacer, CAI, y-pipe, tune, will have in sound, as I am already a little louder than anticipated. I am looking for a deeper, quieter( less db's) sound. Dont get me wrong I love overall throatyness really, but know its too loud for the sedan (especially my basically stock slow n/a.) Would adding something like a cherry bomb or silencer be an option..never thought id need to ask. Dont want to rob HP but imo sedan should not be so loud. working on the pic/sound clips sorry and THANKS!
