coupe midpipe question for my sedan..........

I have a 04 sedan and am going to buy a coupe midpipe. I called to order it through the dealer and he said i might have issues with the flanges or gaskets not fitting due to diffrent sizes. Also do i have to buy 2 new gaskets?
I was under the impression it was a bolt on job. Thanx in advance.

Will need gaskets I think but they don't really cost too much...I wouldn't really buy the midpipe from the dealer though, how much are they charging you for it? You can get it $100 maybe less off other members on here. Here's an ebay link for a member that's selling his:

Ohh and the fitment, I think some people do have some issues with it coming close to the drive shaft retainer and sometimes hitting it, I had mine modified and installed for 80 bucks at a muffler shop so no issues.

You will need 2 gaskets but everyone that I've installed was 100% bolt-on with no modifications.

i installed my 05 coupe midpipe on my 03 sedan about 3 weeks ago and it is very simple. You can reuse the gaskets from the sedan midpipe. All you do is unbolt the front 2 connecting the y pipe and unbolt the bolts connecting to the muffler and undo the hangers. Slide the midpipe in. Only modification I had to do was bend the metal shield around the driveshaft, which took all over 3 seconds. Fits great. I have no rattles and sounds AWESOME! Only probably I ran into was on of the bolts snapped on the back end by the muffler since everything was so rusted. I just drilled out the welded bolt and bought new hardware and fits like a charm. It's very simple install

Adding an HKS muffler.... Do it! Sound is amazing with a coupe midpipe and it gives some gains. Nothing crazy though. But the sound is awesome. Worth the money without a doubt. I've heard midpipes with an HKS rear muffler and WOW is all I can say. Really unleashes the VQ engine sound. I'll be adding an HKS muffler in the spring to my coupe midpipe. I highly suggest it.

Here is a sticky that provides sound clips of a bunch of different exhaust sounds on sedans including the HKS with coupe midpipe https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...st+compilation

It'll be cheaper to get it from the US, I got mine from a shop in Toronto and it cost me $500 CDN + tax...of course at that time the dollar wasn't at parity and buying it from thmotorsports would've cost $375 + $100 to ship to Canada and then customs and brokerage charges on top of that so I decided to buy it locally. I think the link was broken in the post by dunglan7, here ya go:
