How can I make the exuast less restrictive? I know this may have been asked but I am not sure. Will this viod the warrenty? If I get new headers can that viod the warrenty also?

Re: Making the exuast less restrictive?

Do you have the coupe or sedan?? With either you can make it less restrictive...and no it should not void the warranty unless they can prove without a doubt that the exhaust caused whatever problem you take in for warranty work.

Re: Making the exuast less restrictive?

Ok thanks. Then how can I make it sound better after I remove the converter? Will that mess anything up with smog checking? How many hp should I expect to gain?

Re: Making the exuast less restrictive?

Of course it will mess up the smog checking results....possibly failing.

Re: Making the exuast less restrictive?

You can remove the cats and prevent engine checks by faking out the O2 sensors.

Of course now you have to find someone who can find the specs on how the V35??? ECU and O2 sensors work, design and then build the O2 fake signal circuitry.

Will you pass a smog inspection? Some folks say "yes". With the current level of efficiency of modern engines, it will pass inspection. Of course, only as long as nobody looks under the car.
