Carbon fiber vs plastic vs titanium intake

Right now I have the Z tube which is basically made out of plastic.

For cosmetic purposes I plan on getting the CF z tube (approx $90) vs Amuse Titan Tube for US$494.

http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com...il.php?ID=5620

Will the titanium reduce performance/power over the plastic or CF tube?

Thanks,
Clint

Unless you are going to dress up the rest of the engine bay, the Amuse intake will be overkill. Get a JDM battery cover first.

Metal conducts heat a lot better than CF or plastic, so performance wise, the metal intake may increase your air intake temperature.

On order - Amuse intake, JDM Battery cover, CF engine cover.

I already have the ebay CF overlays ready to be installed.

After installing the above, I will be painting my richie bar and Infiniti logo (which goes on the CF engine cover) gold

it's all about baller status, no performance benefits.

+1

It looks great but I agree with Gilley, if you are going with something like that you better go nuts on the rest too. Get the ARC strut bar too. That thing is sweet.

That's a lot of money for a tube, there's no other way to look at it. IMO, if you're spending money for look over function, spend it where people can see it..or get a clear hood..haha. It looks nice though..
