Custom Exhaust for 450???

Hey guys I talked to the muffler shop next to my work and they have done a couple G35 coupes with magnaflow mufflers and lil stuff like that to them,

i asked hiim about doing a complete exhaust on it and he mentions running straight off the test pipes i have to an X-pipe and then back into a magnaflow muffler,

just wondering if you think this is the right way to do the exhaust, or what would be the BEST way to run the exhaust if i go custom.

I have test pipes on it now, and want a the best performance i can get with the best sound, not nessasarily loudest, just good sounding. anyone know if it will still have the genuine g35 exahaust note just alot louder?

basically... what would you do if you were getting your exhaust custom built and are NA???

Good luck getting the "best sound" from a custom exhaust. How the final product sounds in the end is a crapshoot really. It may sound good, it may sound horrible, my bet would be on significant amounts of rasp or drone from my experience with custom exhausts. At least with premade setups you have an idea of what they are going to sound like prior to purchase, but a custom exhaust has no such thing.
