Mrev2
5 Attachment(s)
So I installed my MREV2 today, It took two 2 hours, with me cleaning some areas in the engine bay.
This is not a Thread for Do It Yourselfers, the MotorDyne Install Guide it petty much foolproof. Pic1) Remove engine cover (Notice my red dip-stick ring) :D Pic2) Remove intake tube:cool: Pic3) Remove Upper Plenum and 3/8" spacer (Not that much oil, since the last time I cleaned in there.) Pic4) Remove Lower Plenum. (All the air intakes for the heads on the drivers side, VERY DIRTY, and OILY):icon11: (Oil Catch Here WE Come) Pic5) MREV2 in place, Stock to the side (Look at the runner) :eek3: http://motordyneengineering.com/manual.pdf |
Looks awesome, btw just curious are the grounding wires make a huge difference at all?

Scam Alert!!!
Hi Citymunky,
After carefull observation of your attached pictures, I am sorry to inform you that the "MREV2" you have shown top right attached picture is a low quality counterfit of the MREV2. Its not genuine. https://g35driver.com/forums/attachm...5&d=1197604398 It is a fake. A fraud. A counterfit. It was not made by Motordyne. Who sold you that lower plenum? . |
 There are fakes for this too? And I was going to buy one used.... right.
|
Wow, nice catch Tony. Sucks to hear that he installed a counterfeit.
-Henry . |
Tony............ why are you removing all the posts????
|
I havn't removed anything.
But don't remove anything yourself. It will only be more incriminating. It has all been saved for evidence. Moderators and Admin are informed. |
I had no idea there were counterfeit. I guess the only way to buy it is straight through motordyne.

^Apparently RebelinRI is manufacturing false MREV2's according to hydrazine, but I'm just speculating.
|
Yes, it is true.
|
Well, here's a pic of the MREV2 off of Motordyne's site:
http://motordyneengineering.com/imag...llector322.jpg Here's a pic of RebinInRI's: https://g35driver.com/forums/attachm...5&d=1197604398 The most obvious difference I see is that the tops of the front two intake runners on Rebel's plenum are chopped down a lot further than on the MREV, and the corners are very sharp. If we had a better quality pic of Rebel's, we may be able to see some more subtle discrepencies. I know I've seen Rebel trying to buy lower collectors here and on my350z in the past. Here are some links: https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=lower http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthre...ighlight=lower http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthre...ighlight=lower http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthre...ighlight=lower http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthre...ighlight=lower Of course, these don't prove that he was buying up a bunch of collectors, but the pattern tends to favor as much. Rob, you do know that Tony has a patent on the item and a trademark on the name, right? If you're not selling actual MREV2s that were made by Motordyne Engineering, you could be in some deep doodoo . |
