let's not forget that not all of them have been noted "fake". as a matter of fact only the one sold to citymunky has been verified as false.
one of the others that was initially suspected as "fake" has already been deemed as the real deal that rebelinRI sold to app6MT.

it was even verified by the man himself on the my350z thread.

Yes, it is fully copyright, trademark and patent pending protected.

in my initial surface level googline this was found:
"The use of "Patent Pending", surprisingly enough, does not fully protect the inventor or manufacturer from competitors. Until the USPTO patent application is completely approved, any other manufacturer can legally use the basic concepts behind any product or technology. What the Patent Pending designation does is let all other competitors know that, in a relatively short amount of time, the product (along with the design and manufacturing ideas) will be the exclusive property of the patent holder. Other companies can continue to produce similar products right up until the official patent is issued and the markings on the patented product are changed."

And I know which side I will be on… I have thought about this long before it happened and spoke with Tony briefly about this kind of thing… RI (and anyone in his camp) better do lots of Google searching, as you did… it would be a long losing fight.

They were listed as "sold" by Rebel himself. This is verified.
But you didn't notice that, did you?
You sure are lawering hard for him.
EDIT:
If you think it is OK to copy a patent pending item and advertise it as the real thing. Ask Citymunky what thinks about that.
Dont forget to add to your Google lawering:
Once a pattent is granted, the company or individual that did the counterfiting can still be held liable for all the counterits sold.
There is no such hold over on trademarks or copyrights. ...And fraud is always criminal.

BTW,
Why are you asking Rebel for specs on how he modifies the plenums?

That's a little odd.

Dyno Results
Also posted over at MY350Z.com
The independnt testing performed by Julian at MRC.
The testing sequence and results are very charecteristic of the testing that has been done previously by Nissan North America, Import Tuner and Modified Magazine. The results are essentially a repeat of everything done in the past.
The results are not only good, they are greater than any other modification available to the VQ engine short of Nitrous or FI.
Here is a brief description of the test sequence and results:
Pink - Baseline of a fully stock plenum - Yeilding a normal baseline curve.
Green - Test set #2 was MREV2 with no spacer - A significant gain through most of the curve up to ~6K RPM with a roll off beyond that.
Blue - Test set #3 was the MREV2 with a 5/16" spacer - Classic spacer results showing a divergence starting at ~5.5K RPM producing high RPM gains. The spacer basically put back what was lost at the top end leaving very significant gains everywhere else.
The final result is a greatly enhanced power curve. The car is clearly faster with this mod. Daily driving, 1/4 mile or time to top speed.
----------------------------
On a different subject.
I read through this whole crazy thread again ,and the one over at MY350Z.com, links and all and saw the bigger picture of how much support I recieved.
I would like to thank everyone for all the support here and via the PM's and emails. It is all greatly appreciated.
And special thanks to Kyle and all the Moderators and Admin here on G35Driver.com and MY350Z.com
It is completely recognized and greatly appreciated.

Not much difference between the 1/2" and 5/16".
The 1/2" makes a little more HP above 6K and a little less area under the curve below 6K.
If you look closely at the midrange of the MREV2 curves, you will see a slight loss of midrange when the 5/16" spacer was added.
I've seen this same trend on every REVUP test I've ever done.
When you put on a 1/2" spacer, the midrange loss is even greater but there isn't quite enough increase in the top end to compensate for the loss everywhere else.
Basically, a minimized plenum internal volume is good for TQ and area under the curve. A maximized plenum internal volume is good for very high end HP.
Overall, the 5/16" spacer is slightly better optimized.

Yes. Very much so. Particularly for spirited daily driving.
But for a lot of people the spacer will be mandatory.
A lot of people can't fathom the idea of losing any top end power. Even if their car is faster with only a MREV2 (compared to the REVUP plenum), many will insist on including the spacer.
And technically, yes. For race applications, the addition of the spacer will make it faster.
