What year is your car? 2003's should not throw a CEL with test pipes.

As for what kind, it doesn't really matter - especially since yours are not resonated. They're just...pipes.

You will most likely not get a CEL on an 03. But if you were to, it takes more than a few miles to do so. On my 06, which has wideband sensors (stock), I got my CEL after about 60 miles of driving. G35's with widebands WILL throw a CEL. Your car will probably not.

Resonated Test Pipes resonates the sound coming through the test pipes. Without resonaters, as you might know, you will end up with alot of rasp. Resonators minimize rasp. I myself have virtually no rasp with my exhaust combination. I say virtually because some rasp at WOT is still there, but its very minimal. And it actually adds a nice touch to it. (This is coming from someone who HATES rasp)

If you are wondering whether or not this affects performance, no, it does not. The resonators won't restrict flow... only sound.

FYI: Resonated test pipes are significantly more expensive.

i just put on the xo2 and wow my cars loud with test pipes haha. its kinda fun to be obnoxious again lol.

as far as the CEL, i actually drove for almost a year before mine came on. and the funny thing is i have non-foulers on my 05. infiniti cleared the code and the tech said sometimes it just takes a while for it to show up as its a certain amount of drive cycles/ecu tests for the car to realize somethings wrong. either way, my lights off and ive got no worries.
