stillen intake how do you clean or replace

I installed the stillen intake in my 07 g35 coupe and it has about 8k on it right now. I was wondering when are you suppose to clean it out because i know dealer does not clean the intake or change the filter if it is an after market. At how many miles am i suppose to take out the intake filter and clean it out? and what am i suppose to be using to clean it with? Thanks a lot. Links to what products i need to clean would be very helpful

You should clean it every 8-10K miles. You can take the filter and tap it out and replace it. They make a airasol spray kinda like keyboard cleaner too but you dont really need that. I always have 2 filters. When I need to clean one, I take it out, tap all the dirt out, then soak it in soda water over night meanwhile I have already replaced it with my extra. After soaking overnight just take it out of the soda water and let it dry. They do recommend that you oil the filter after cleaning too.

What negative feeback have you heard? It's probably the most suited aftermarket air intake for the VQ35. If not that, then a drop in filter + Z-Tube works fine as well.

I would look into an AEM dryflow filter wich is a lot easier to clean (no oil). I changed my Stillen out for one and now changed my Greddy filters out for them too.

TIMUH!!!!! I've asked before... I've been looking for over a year (my posts prove it) for part number for dry filter! ...

Not saying I've been asking you directly, but been posting for the replacement for the Stillen/JWT... do you have?...
