"True Dual" is indicating that there are two distinct and SEPARATE exhaust pipes running from the Catalytic converters of the car (referred to as "CATS" here and most everywhere) all the way to the exhaust tips/pipes.
*Basically*
Non-Dual:
Our coupe and most cars have a "Y" pipe connecting the (2) exhaust pipes:
1 pipe coming from the first "CAT"
2nd pipe coming from the second "CAT"
It then combines the two individual pipes into just one pipe that then goes to the back of the car. THUS the "Y" shape and reference.
True-Dual:
This changes the "Y" portion of the exhaust to an "X" pipe, which contains the two individual and SEPARATED exhaust pipes going from the "CATS" all the way to the back of the car. This allows for more expedited expense of the exhaust gases = which in turn creates a little bit more Horse Power and Torque.
To help make more sense of this...
If you look at the back of your coupe, it *LOOKS* like there are two seperate exhaust pipes....BUT...look closer. Crawl under the back of the car and you'll soon realize that the (2) exhaust pipes are actually just one SINGULAR pipe going into the MUFFLER and then splitting into (2) pipes.
On a "True-Dual" system, from the "CATS" back you have TWO PIPES and TWO MUFFLERS.
Hope this helps!
