installation

in order to not void my warranty should i have a exhaust shop install my exhaust and then take it off if i ever have a engine problem that is covered under warranty??
or should i have my dealer install it and then if the exhaust has a defect my warranty is voided rather than installation defect???

also will cosmetic problems( seat rails, etc.) be voided if my warranty is by exhaust, or is the warranty that will be voided for the engine parts only??

and lastly, can i take my car to another dealer to have warranty work if its not the dealer i purchased it from??

thanks guys and gals

just because your dealer installs it doesn't mean the exhaust can't void your warranty. if a problem occurs due to your after market exhaust, then your warranty will be voided. it doesn't matter who installs it.

then again, an after market exhaust is relatively harmless and should not void your warranty to begin with.

your warranty can only be voided by mods if the mods cause the problem that you want warrantied.

you can have any dealer do warranty work for you.
