Powerlab Billet 3/8" Plenum Spacer

Has anyone gotten a chance to test out the Powerlab plenum spacer.

I know everyone already knows that motordyne is probably the way to go, but I just saw this recently on g35parts.com. Is this a new product? I don't believe I have come across this before.

Motordyne 5/16 seems to be the most effective but this Powerlab creates a pretty close space (3/8=6/16) compared to the motordyne. Which also means that is will probably also allow fitment of the stock engine cover. It's also only $183 bucks on g35parts.com while the cheapest motordyne spacer is $230.

I've purchased this for my FX35. I did feel noticeable pick up from 4K to redline. Not sure if the motordyne is supposed to do this, but I'm quite happy with the product.

Very nice quality with gaskets pre-attached on both sides of the spacer. Install was very straight forward.

It's a touch thicker than I'd like for low end but it's a really nice alternative to the more expensive Motodyne unit

Why would anyone like to bypass the coolant? And where would it go?

you bypass the coolant that goes through the throttle body so it doesn't heat up the air coming from the intake. OEM has the coolant pass through the TB in case it freezes in the winter

you don't bypass it "to" anything... it continues its flow - bypassing the TB...

I just bought one but they are out of stock until this Thursday (feb 28th). Hopefully they will get them in and I'll get it installed this weekend. I'll take plenty of pics and let you know how it goes.

Mine arrived today. Unfortunately I can't put it in now because I am in the middle of my oil consumption test. Nothing like having parts just waiting to go in!

I must say though, the spacer looks great! Gaskets are presealed to each side. All fasteners are isolated and even have tags showing where they go. Instructions are very detailed and installation looks simple enough. I will be installing this and the MREV2 at the same time.

I've tried to buy one three times, but they don't seem to want to ship to Canada. They told me to email them so I could have an account number for direct deposit, twice, so I did, but nothing. They don't take Canadian Credit cards.
I guess I'll just get Motordyne.

yah, I never got an email after two calls so I figured I was going to stop trying. I did get the return payment figured out from Paypal, they had no record then magically it appeared the next day. Weird.

Do you still want to sell it to me?
