exhausts

I am going to get a new exhaust. I have heard a clip of the Borla, i dont think its loud enough. A friend told me that blitz usually makes the best, performance wise, and their exhausts are pretty loud. The Borla true dual and the Injen dual should have better performance then the blitz single exhaust, but i dont know

If anyone has any info on the performance or the sounds of the exhausts please let me know.

Also, is $1000 a good price for the blitz Nur touring exhaust?

Re: exhausts

i was thinking of getting this exhaust. But its a single to dual exhaust. I heard clips of it and sounds real mean. Much louder than the borla. But performance wise i think they said you should get aroun 7 hp.

I might be wrong. but this is what i have read.

Re: exhausts

we need clips of the exhausts.

Everyone has their preferences on sound and look so we need clips of all the exhausts. if someone can find them, i know there are a few on some forums, but if anyone finds more, post them, post all of them so we can compare.
I really want to hear what i am buying before i get it, and i know everyone else does too.

Re: exhausts

Also keep in mind that injen gained 1-2 hp if I remember right. I guess to eahc his own, but that 's a waist of money. Stillen makes the best exhaust, period. Followed my Borla/Nismo. And even then, it makes about 8 hp and 7 lb/ft of torque. These figures are off the Z which should be identical to the coupe. Sedan is a different story, much bigger gains to be had there.

Re: exhausts

I would say 15+ hp. Didn't dyno it with just the exhaust addition.

Re: exhausts

That really wasn't called for, his numbers are less than what stillen claims for the sedan, so be nice.

Re: exhausts

Wow, that's amazing. Some poeple simply do not have the gift of thought. Those who know me know that I do not pull things "out of my &^# ".

For complete clarity, Stillen claims 22-23hp gain, and from their dyno sheets you can actually see the gain go to 233 hp (from a stock value of 209-210) from what I can remember.

Given that Borla gives a independent dyno-confirmed gain of 10hp, 15 hp is NOT out of the question considering that the X-pipe is IMHO a superior, torque-producing design. I drove a Borla-equipped car and the gains were not as strong as with the Stillen-equipped sedan.

If I were you I would refrain from conjecture in the future and be armed with facts and/or strong arguments before you attack me (or any one else that presents explanations for their claims). This way you may salvage any trace of credibility that maybe left. Just a friendly piece of advice (and even that you don't deserve).

Re: exhausts

Wow...owned. Thanks for the info about the Stillen system, gurgenpb. I'd like to get an exhaust on my coupe, but I know the gains are less than the sedan, and it seems so expensive!

Anyway, it would be really nice if we could set up a site around here that had a bunch of different mods on there, with pictures, videos, reviews, etc. I remember seeing one a while back (can't remember the site), but there was hardly anything on there. If someone could set up a place that had all this info, with prices, where to purchase from, etc, that would be soo helpful to everyone on the board. I know there's a bunch of videos of different exhausts around here, but there's so many threads about exhauts it's hard to find them.

Re: exhausts

The dynos are here on the forums, used the search feature, that's what it's for, you know?
THere is also a video of my exhast compared to ted's then-stock one side by side. It was in the my very first thread about the Stillen Exhaust for the Sedan
