HF Cat noise- inside loose? imploded?

When I move a pair of HF cats up and down the honeycomb inside slides up and down. This isn't normal is it? Have these cats imploded? It doesn;t sound like little pieces- but the whole filter sliding. I purchased used from a member on this forum-not installed on my car yet.

Consider it dead....it should not be moving around, at all. In fact, it should be VERY tight and solid.

Are they the Crawfords HFC's? if soo many people just gut the insides and use them still, testpipes FTW lol.

throw them out... I had the random tech cats too and they got loose on one side and eventually broke and stuffed up my exhaust. I had to throw out the Fujitsubo exhaust and random tech didn't help me at all after i sent them pictures, emails and phonecalls to complain. I'm NEVER buying from Random Tech again!
