OEM coupe muffler - crazy question

what does the inside of the OEM coupe muffler look like ?

so my crazy question is...
OK on the coupe muffler you have one in and one out on one side of the muffler, and one out on the other side. Could the one out side be used as the inlet from the midpipe and the other side of the muffler be used as two tailpipes ? not sure if reversing the flow in that muffler is even a possibility or not since I don't know what is going on inside the muffler. Was thinking to set one up like that in the stock location of the sedan muffler. if it were possible would it even sound the same ? Yeah basically I want to put a stock coupe midpipe on my sedan. I'm not afriad to try something new or custom becasue I really want my sedan to have the sound of a stock coupe. If this is stupid or impossible I'll try something else. I know it can be done one way or another.

not looking for "just get an HKS muffler it's not worth it" comments. I already know all that. Anyone have a doner coupe muffler that I can cut up

looking for something like this (sedan shown) but for a coupe muffler. I'm not sure how the cross flow muffler works inside.

I have a spare coupe muffler that I've been wanting to sell for this EXACT reason. But shipping this heavy POS to Texas would be a PITA.

Hrrrm....thats very interesting

If you want your car to have the stock sound get Fast Intentions in my opinion, it sounds like the stock exhaust but on steroids, absolutely nice. The Nismo, Fujitsubo and Stillen will do the job too, but i favor F.I the most. It will be louder then the stock, but you wont be annoyed at all if you're looking for low tone. If you want to do what you say in your post, I will have to agree with others that it is not worth it and just get yourself an exhaust, save your time buddy.

cool thanks

the sedan has a full size spare - I'm not above cutting the spare tire well and having it welded back in more shallow and adding a space saver spare to make room for the coupe muffler. Can't be that difficult -

What about, instead doing the full catback on a coupe, just replacing OEM muffler with an aftermarket high quality muffler? Has anyone around here done that? Just thought I'd piggyback with another crazy muffler question.
