Re: R/T cats smog legal in CA?
I don't believe the RTs will pass the sniffer test. The Crawfords or the Kinetix will, and look like a stock cat. RTs from what I've heard are raspy, but they do flow the best. Technically any aftermarket cat is illegal. The Crawfords flow second best, and then the Kinetix. Crawfords and Kinetics are less expensive than the RTs. My Crawfords on the way to me. Hope to put them in next week.

The basis for Kinetix's claims relating to emissions hinges on them passing visual inspection. I have not seen or read anything that tells me they have factually passed a california sniff test. And I'm not at all saying they can't.

My high flow cats mirror the design of the La brae(sp?). I do not have any issue's with sound or annoying rasp. Only when you rev it really high in neutral do you every hear any rasp, it never does it while driving.
