Fast Intentions burning smell on new install?

Hi all,

Finally had a change to take the car out with the new FI exhaust on. I'm getting a burning smell from the exhaust. Is this normal? Does it go away? I'm sure it's the exhaust and not something else under the car. It seems to have decreased in the past few hours of driving but it is still there when I shut the car off. Thanks all

it's normal. [most] all new exhaust components will do this. give it some time and take it out for a spin to burn it away.

It's normal. My injen had a smell and a hint of smoke for at least a week. It'll go away.

The more miles you put on it, the more it will decrease. Eventually it will go away. It is normal...

New Exhaust Aroma....!

The aroma you're concerned about is normal, enjoy it while it lasts. I was
behind a little red car last week, it had paper license plates and a dancing
horse on the back lid. The exhaust had such a good aroma I wanted to
bottle it....

Well if its a Mandrel Bent System then it is the Mandrel Grease Burining Off. We get this call alot. It should go away after about 500 miles of driving.

thats why when you see all of the youtube posts of peoples "new" exhaust installs it smokes more than normal, it is generally the seal like others were referring too
