if you don't care about rasp, yet you care whether or not TPs sound good with the Injen/HKS exhausts, then does that mean you like rasp?

FI resonated TPs sound great with HKS, IMO. Very loud, though.

If you don't care about rasp, then there's no need for resonated test pipes. Almost every non-resonated test pipe out there is the same; just a pipe.

Resonated, in the other hand, varies from product to product. I have Fast Intentions Resonated Test Pipes, and they are top-notch. I would definately recommend these if you were looking into resonated test pipes.

And yes, they are very loud.

How much for some resonated FI TP? Oh, and does res vs non res make a difference in air flow?

Hey all -

So to really answer your question, SKATER said it best so far. If you just want to get non-resonated, then you will look at pretty much the same products everywhere. It's just a piece of pipe. What you'll look for then, is quality of work, support from the company, etc. By quality, not only good welds, etc...but proper fit. These are pretty easy parts to make, but not all of them line up the same way, some leave your exhaust lower or higher than others...so you want to get ones that built properly to leave things as factory as possible. this will help to ensure that your aftermarket or stock exhaust does fit right, and does not possibly break, etc. from binding.

As he mentioned too, if you are looking for resonated, then you have to make a choice o the type and size of resonator, etc.

Personally, of course I'll say Fast Intentions....as most have already chimed in on as well....there are some obvious choices, and it's not always a price thing.

Rick
