G35 Noob

Hey guys, ive posted several threads in the last week and i havnt gotten many replies.. my '04 sedan right now is completely stock. im interested in spending around $300-400. Im posting this to maybe get some responses back of what you would do to your car with say $400. Thanks! heres a list of things im debating on.

Injen CAI 257$
Pop Charger w/ ztube 195$
Plenum Spacer (3/8 or 1/2) 183$
Megan Racing resonated test pipes 129$

Right now i think im leaning towards the test pipes and the pop charger w/ ztube..

Any suggestions on what you would do with 400$.... maybe something different than what i have on my list above..

You'll get much noticeable difference in power from the pop charger/z-tube and the plenum spacer.

Wow, way to post 5 times. Save the mods the work of deleting your threads. Delete the others yourself. It's not hard. Even a noob can do it.

But, spacer and pop charger should give you the best bang for your buck.

You mean just the plenum spacer right? No air-intake for the VQ would produce enough power (if any) to make anyone feel a difference in power. They sound great though. The spacer is definately a great bang for the buck though in terms of power for the money in NA mods

To the OP, if power is your priority, the spacer + test pipes is a no brainer. Though, I would never go with non-resonated test pipes (you would have to spend atleast $100 more for resonated).

actually these are resonated and for 129$.. these will fit my sedan right..? (http://www.street-power.com/merani3503fc.html) what do you guys think of these..? or are these not what i want..

Also, how much would it cost to get the spacer and the test pipes put on my car.. thats something i dont think i can do or want to do.. ill do the pop charger though..

Also, will the "spacer & popcharger w/ ztube" sound better than "test pipes & popcharger w/ ztube?" ........ i think im looking more for sound than i am performance

it means that they are not street legal.

ALL test pipes are illegal to use, and you do NOT want to get pulled over with one on your car.... it can get very ugly.

just get the test pipes.. You wont get caught with them unless the damn cop jacks up your car and checks..

Not true at all. All they have to do is just look under the car with their bare eyes. They also carry a mirror reflector to get a look at those harder-to-find areas. Mine are easy to spot by just kneeling down.

For those who are in California, the fines are over $1,000 dollars. And that's a conservative estimate. Not sure how much other states run at, though im sure nothing gets worse than California (no cats = federal crime).

Kidd1077, on the stock exhaust, resonated test pipes and even HFC will have noticeable rasp @ WOT. Like I said before, it all depends on what type of exhaust with what type of HFC/Resonated TP's you use. (Non-Resonated will rasp like crazy, with any exhaust).

As far as the plenum, install it yourself. Anyone with hands and a wrench can do it

Also, what are the sound benefits of the spacer..
