XO2 is identical to HKS.. Can't tell the difference if you just look at them till you get up close. Tips are the same size and my Xo2 has the burnt blue tips too.

If there are threads like these where there are people asking how to tell the difference then you know Xo2 does a great job at copying lol.

XO2:

I'm also looking into buying a used HKS exhaust, and have the same question as you, I been doing some research and people say that the XO2 exhaust tip isn't made out of "titanium", which makes the burnt tip not as blue as the HKS. Not sure if this is a fact or not, hope someone here has more experience with it and will correct me.

yes the xo2 has extension pieces so that it will fit the 350 z as well. It also has a tag welded onto the canister that says X02

Can you point out that extension piece and the tag welded on the canister? If you have a picture showing me it would be great.

O RLY

I have NEVER seen any XO2 tips match the quality of HKS tips

Even with the G35 extension pipes, the XO2 exhaust is tucked

The HKS exhaust does not even come with extension pipes, but the XO2 does

A number of people have had fitment issues with the XO2 exhaust

*note: not trying to bash the xo2. just trying to help the op distinguish the two.

You can tell HKS tips from X02, the X02 have a dull **** brown and dark blue color to them. The HKS Ti tips are like a light blue and orange-ish color that look AMAZING. Plus if the H-pipe is really long then it should be the HKS.

xo2 fit fine for me... Just make sure you have all the parts and take it to someone who knows what they're doing..

I can tell you straight up right now.. Just by looking at xo2 and HKS side by side on 2 cars you can't tell the difference.. You actually have to go up and look at them pretty good. I've seen both in person.

My tips are not dull **** brown homey.. Get your eyes checked. Just for you I'm going to get some nice sick tips that will make your HKS look like gay sex.

they also sound different too, hks is higher pitched, and sounds more exotic, imo. not that this would probably help the OP out

THANKS FOR ALL THE REPLIES! I will go take a look into it when it comes off the owners car. Is there any bigger differences that i should look for? I havent seen the tip of a real HKS so im not sure how exactly the blue tip should be. And it is still on the owners car, so i cant exactly look for the extensions.

Also, He claims that he bought it new, do they come with a receipt or any paperwork to show that it is authentic?

=] THANKS AGAIN!
