NISMO CAI question

hello,

does anyone know what the inlet size for the NISMO CAI filter is? i'm guessing it's 3 inch. If it is, will i be able to use different brand cone filters and attach it onto the CAI tube? thanks!

let me know if you guys find a place that only sells filter and it sounds good. I got a AEM DryFlow filter from ebay and it fit/flows fine. I would have preferred to pay for just a Nismo replacement filter but the AEM was the only I found sold separately.

Not sure but it might sound a little funny paired up with my Nismo CAI tubing... Get this fluttering sound when I let off the gas pedal after hard acceleration.

Also, another question... do I need to replace the bypass foam thing on my nismo piping if it's just a little ripped? does it create the noise I'm experiencing or any performance loss? Once again, AEM seems to have the only replacement available for just that piece.
