emission/vacuum tube to z-tube too short on G coupe?

Has anyone run into an issue with the emission/vacuum tube to the OEM z-tube being too short on G coupe?

I find that its a pretty tight fit, and I am thinking it may becausing a vacuum leak which lead to the high idle issue that I was having with my G35 coupe. When I returned back to the stock airbox, cleaned the MAF, and did the various relearn procedures, I no longer had the idle problem.

Hmmm...no I never had an issue of hose being too short. In fact, mine was a little long when I installed my Ztube compared from where Infiniti's contraption connects. Just had a VQ swap and dealer had no issues with that hose to Ztube either. Dunno what to say about what you're experiencing.
