Black Plenum with CF Cover

Here are a few pics of my black V.5 Crawford Plenum and my carbon fiber 350z engine cover. What do you think?

Looking good!

A question. Your intake air duct seems to have an extra flex section. Why?

Looks good. What looks even better are those vacuum hoses! Where did you get them, how much were they, and did the come pre-sized with the connectors?

Links would be appreciated! Nice job man.

That's the way it came. All I added was the Stillen Box and the Z tube.

Re: Black Plenum with CF Cover

Question about the CF engine cover...

is the 350z engine cover a perfect fit on our engines? or is there any cutting needed? and holes line up perfectly?

very nice looking setup you have there

Great looking settup bro. You gonna finish it off with a d/side battery cover?

Re: Black Plenum with CF Cover

You have to cut a "V" out of the back to get it to match the Crawford plenum. All the holes line up perfectly though. Some of the carbon fiber ones come with the Nissan emblem. The one I ordered off of ebay luckily did not have the emblem.

Re: Black Plenum with CF Cover

That looks nice. Now you should order the Infiniti Emblem like the one on the trunk and stick that on the engine cover. That would like good. I am thinking about doing that.

Re: Black Plenum with CF Cover

When you get the emblem from the trunk you are going to have to heat it a little to reshape it. The arcs of the trunk are different than the arc / slope of the engine cover. It is not hard to do with a hairdryer / heat gun and some patience.

Another look for those silver grounding cables is to cover them with the flexible black plastic electrical conduit. It looks like the wires are starting to discolor a little. I did that to keep mine and have a "stock" look.

Good Luck !!

Re: Black Plenum with CF Cover

mstl35,
Nice Work!!! I like the Black Plenum w/the C.F. Cover...I cut down my G-35 Engine Cover and positioned it in front of the Polished Crawford Plenum (like a Z engine cover), Painted the middle part Diamond Graphite to match my G & then used Carbon-Fiber to highlight the the Oil & Screw holes to match the C.F. covered M.A.F....

Re: Black Plenum with CF Cover

For the guys who modified the G engine cover: How did you trace out the cut line? Did you do it with the cover and plenum off the engine?

Thanks in advance.
