I have had my exhaust for awhile now, I have brought it into my installer twiice now beacuse the piping was rattling the undercarriage. It turned out to be the heat shield, but they fixed it the last time and it is now doing it again. I am thinking I am just going to remove the heat shield. Anyone else with this problem or an easier fix?

I had that problem also, and I adjusted ( lower) exhaust pipes and problem was solved

 

4 months on my car, never rattled once. Where is the heat shield that are taking about? I thought there were only two important adjustments. The primary pipe off the cats. which sits very close to undercarriage. I wrapped them with header tape to protect undercarriage from heat. The other adjustment is the primaries over the crossmember, needs to have 3/4" of clearance. Also, total length adjustment of system so the end tips are equal length out the back.

Not exactly sure where the heat shield is, but I will get my car back this week and will have time to look at it this weekend.
